We are seeking a skilled Tax & Accounting professional to support Henkel’s overall business operations, covering both B2B and B2C segments. This role will be responsible for tax accounting, reporting, compliance, and supporting key finance initiatives.
What you´ll do
- Execute tax-related accounting entries and journal postings
- Perform reconciliation of tax-related balance sheet accounts
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare tax payments (local and federal)
- Analyze financial data for tax reporting purposes
- Execute and maintain internal controls related to tax (SOX/J-SOX)
- Act as a key point of contact for auditors on tax-related matters
- Support tax projects and implementation of new regulatory requirements
What makes you a good fit
Must Have
- Business-level Japanese and English (English assessment will be conducted)
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance, or 3+ years in Accounting/Tax firms (JC5 level or above)
- Strong understanding of IFRS and Japan GAAP
- Hands-on experience in monthly and quarterly closing (minimum 1 year)
- Solid accounting and tax knowledge
Nice to have
- Experience with corporate tax returns and international taxation (e.g., transfer pricing, cross-border tax)
- Experience in tax audits, internal control audits (SOX / J-SOX), and SAP systems
- Strong logical thinking, problem-solving ability, and learning agility
- Ability to identify issues and propose solutions based on accounting and tax standards
- Strong stakeholder communication skills and ability to work in a senior-level team environment
