About this Position
Oversee the day-to-day problem solving activities of the Automotive Area within a Multi-Technology adhesive manufacturing site associated with process improvements leading to higher outgoing quality levels. Key areas of focus will be on introducing new products, driving preventive quality initiatives, supporting projects, supporting structured problem-solving activities, communicating, training and enforcing quality process requirements to relevant functions.What you´ll do
- Develop practicable and sustainable actions at shopfloor to be compliant with requirements from quality procedures/standards, in alignment with Production, Engineering teams
- Coordinate implementation of Quality core tools, problem solving methodologies
- Participate in New Product Introduction / Management of Change / Manufacturing Footprint Optimization projectsand support processes requiring Quality involvement
- Manage the Non-conforming material review Program
- Coordinate Quality continuous improvements projects/initiatives at the production area
- Participate as a member of the audit team (system, process, product)
- Manage customer & supplier complaints
- Lead & Develop a team of 2-3 engineers / 10+ technicians
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or chemistry
- Knowledge and experience in IATF16949, VDA6.3 standard & automotive core tools
- 8+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing industry within quality function
- 3+ years of experience in people management
- Experience in troubleshooting difficult problems in a plant environment
- Excellent project management and organization skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, and to manage cross functional teams.
- Fluent written & verbal English knowledge
- Experience in IATF16949 system implementation in green/brown field investment is a plus
- SAP proficiency preferable
- Knowledge in other applicable standards of specific markets as Food, Medical, Aerospace is a plus
